Payment methods

Payment methods for an auction listing on BiddingPond included BTC, and may have included non-bitcoin methods as well, such as PayPal and cash.

A seller could list an auction at no charge. BiddingPond had optional services, such as the Buy Now and Highlighted Listing features which did incur fees.

New accounts reportedly received a credit balance, enough so that an auction or two using the optional services could be made at no cost.

There were few restrictions compared to other online auction services such as eBay.

The site was first announced on July 23rd, 2010[2].

The service got a new look and a significant amount of new features beginning March 25th, 2011[3].

The Bidding Pond's website is not accessible online anymore. The shows the content was last captured on March 27th, 2014 and the site contained the information: " is Returning January 2012!"[4] at that time. It never came back though.
